Scouts take on the bush
The scouts headed out to Newnes last weekend to take on the bush. They spent the two nights camping with no electricity, no toilets and definitely no showers. All cooking had to take place on the fire. They packed everything in packs and were given a map in which they were given grid references to activities that challenged them to work as a patrol. After a day of hiking they made it to there new camp site where they set up camp for night two. Every scout that attended seemed to learn many new skills and have a great time. A huge that to Ethans dad Chris Cowley who come along and was an amazing help. Without Chris this camp would not have taken place. Look out for the photos

A great day seemed to be had by all those that attended. A very successful Clean Up Australia Day followed by Snorkelling which took place off Bass and Flinders point. Due to the strong winds and large surf swell snorkelling was cut a little short, so we headed back to Cronulla Baths where games and jumping off the baths took place. A special mention to Tallis who seemed to collect 4 times the amount of garbage then anyone else.

Scout News- SES visit has had to be post poned, we are now hiking instead.

Hi guys,

Once again we have had to make a change to the program. We are no longer able to attend the SES this Fri 23rd Nov (I have had a lot of bad luck with these things lately) so instead we will be participating in the night hike that we were meant to do a few weeks ago that had to be cancelled due to back burning.

We will be meeting at the top of Greenhaven Rd in Greys Point at 6:30pm. Each person will need comfortable shoes and A TORCH. A torch is a must as we will be hiking back in the dark. We will be hiking to Audley, playing some games and having a BBQ, then returning to Greys Point at 9:30.

Please pass on the word.

Any questions or if anyone is wanting a lift please let me know.

I am so sorry about the changes once again in plans. Fingers crossed that there are no fires, storms or any thing else that may prevent us from hiking this Fri.
